How we calculate this
This counter display holds 60 bars: 24 x Easy Grip, 14 x Easy Hang and 22 x Easy Scrub. Together they replace 208 bottles of 250 ml.
208 bottles x 20 g of plastic per bottle = 4160 g of plastic that was never made.

How many bottles a bar replaces: stated by the soap works itself — Easy Grip up to 3 bottles, Easy Hang up to 5, Easy Scrub about 3 bottles of hand soap. We count a 250 ml bottle each time.
Liquid shampoo is about 80% water. Savonneries Bruxelloises itself says up to 84%. We deliberately take 80%, because a bar contains water too (Aqua is on the label). That keeps our own claim on the low side.
Why liquid shampoo is mostly water
20 g of plastic per 250 ml bottle. Estimate: we found no public figure for this. The only hard data point we have is a 500 ml bottle weighing ~32 g. A bottle's weight roughly follows its surface area, not its volume, so a 250 ml bottle comes out at ~20 g. We are not inventing a source for that: weigh an empty shampoo bottle yourself and you have the answer. As soon as we know the exact figure, we will adjust it.
Why this matters
Plastic does not disappear. It breaks into ever smaller pieces and stays in our soil, rivers and sea for centuries. Every piece of packaging that is never made is the only plastic guaranteed never to wash up anywhere.
Concretely: this product replaces 208 plastic bottles that never have to be made, filled, shipped or thrown away. A bar needs none of that.
This comparison is only here to make the number tangible. It is an illustration, not hard science.
