At Robin, we want young people to be able to choose the education that matches their talents, not their parents’ wallet. A diploma opens the door to a future worth looking forward to. Sadly, high school costs hold them back: every year, thousands of children miss the same chance to get out of our education system everything it has to offer them. Around 9,000 young people leave secondary education each year without a diploma. Statistics show they then depend on some form of replacement income for more than twenty years. That is how we create structural impact, directly where it is needed. Anyone who shares this belief can contribute to the mission, simply and very precisely. For them, school costs are a yearly struggle and the reason behind a hundred exhausting — often invented — excuses. “Sorry, I left my book at home”, “I was ill and couldn’t come on the school trip”, “Sir, I forgot my gym kit”… The stigma and the label of poverty, the feeling that they might not be good enough… that they carry with them forever.
